Dan graduated from veterinary school at U.C. Davis. He then completed a rotating internship in large animal medicine and surgery, followed by a large animal surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. After his residency he moved to Maryland, where he worked for 27 years in a group practice covering Maryland and Virginia thoroughbred racetracks. In addition, Dan managed his own referral equine surgical and lameness practice. He is the author of multiple publications.
Dan joined Kindred Biosciences in May 2017 as a professional services veterinarian and served as Senior Veterinary Science Liaison through June 2020. He then worked as veterinary technical services manager and lead technical writer for Anivive Lifesciences through March 2022, and now consults for multiple veterinary diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies.
