Easy stall-side processing
Two-step centrifugation functionally isolates α2M from the horse's own blood in about an hour.
- Add 5 mL ACD-A solution to two 60 cc syringes
- Draw 35 mL of blood from the patient, to a total volume of 40 mL per syringe
- Place blood into the provided vacutainer tubes
- Spin blood 10 minutes at 3400 RPM to separate plasma
- Draw plasma and place 20 mL into each of the provided conical tubes
- Spin plasma 10 minutes through AlphaActive™ filtration to functionally isolate α2M
- Draw injectate from the tubes into the desired doses
- Administer to joints, soft tissues or airways
- Freeze additional product for future use, for up to 12 months
